The Cisco Console Cable (commonly known as the Rollover Cable) is a specialized serial communication cable used to connect a computer or laptop to the console port of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other Cisco equipment.

It provides direct CLI (Command Line Interface) access for configuration, troubleshooting, and initial device setup—especially when network access is not yet available.
