吕思勉 Lu Si Mian (1957 AD - 1884 AD), named Cheng Zhi, from the city of Changzhou in Jiangsu Province, southeast China. He is a Chinese writer, thinker, and historian, considered one of the "Four Great Historians of Modern China" alongside Chen Yuan, Chen Yinke, and Qian Mu. Lu Si Mian is considered the most researched historian among scholars in this field, and the only one who made important and prominent contributions to modern Chinese history. He devoted his life to studying and teaching history, where he taught history at many universities, such as Shenyang Higher Normal University, and held the position of head of the history department at Guanghua University of China, and its acting president. In 1951, he joined the Department of History at East China (Donghua) Normal University, and was appointed a first-class professor of history. He has many rich works dealing with the history of China And Chinese thought, such as: “The History of China in the Colloquial Language,” “The General History of China,” “The History of the Sui and Tang Dynasties and the Five Dynasties,” “The History of the Qin and Han Dynasties,” “The Literature of the Song Dynasty,” and “The History of the Nationalities of China,” And other important work.
