  • Wipe the finger with alcohol. Alcohol must be air dry before pricking.(included in package )
  • Remove the cap from the lancet and dispose of in the sharps bin. (included )
  • Wipe the first drop of blood with sterile gauze or cotton swab.
  • Use the specimen dropper for fingerstick whole blood. The blood will draw in by capillary action. Do not touch or squeeze the bulb. Immerse the open end into the blood drop and allow for the blood to draw into the specimen dropper up to the marked line.
  • Cover the two airholes on the sample bulb with your fingers. Squeeze all of the blood into the specimen well. 
  • Add two (2) drops of buffer to the specimen well.
  • Time the test and read test results at 10 minutes. Results are no longer valid after 20 minutes.
