???? SET IT UP!

Choose someone to be the Banker. The Banker is in charge of:

The Bank

Auctions

Buildings

The Title Deed cards

The Bank can also play as a player.

Each player chooses a token and places it on GO.

Shuffle the Community Chest cards, place them facedown on the board.
Shuffle the Chance cards, and place them facedown on the board.

Each player chooses a token and places it on GO.

Put the dice by the gameboard.

How to win:
Be the player with the most money and properties when no other players can make a move!

On your turn:

Roll the dice and move your token clockwise that number of spaces.

Where did you land? Carry out the rules of that board space. See THE BOARD SPACES.

Did you roll a double? Roll again.

Watch out! If you roll doubles 3 times in a row, you must immediately GO to Jail! Do not complete your third turn.

Your turn ends. Pass the dice to your left.
That’s all you need to know, so get going. Look up the spaces as you land on them.

PROPERTIES

There are three types of properties: Streets (which come in color sets), Railroads, and Utilities.

Unowned Properties:
You may buy unowned properties you land on. To buy, pay the Bank and take the Title Deed card from the Bank.
If you don’t want to buy, the Banker must auction it.
All players can bid, including the player who declined to buy. Bidding starts at any price.

Owned Properties:
When you land on a property someone else owns, they charge rent!

Streets: Collect color sets to build Houses and charge more rent.

Railroads: The more Railroads you own, the more rent you can charge.

Utilities: Rent depends on the dice roll.

???? To keep your game short and sweet, don’t use house rules!

???? BUILDINGS

Building Houses:
Once you own all streets in a color set, you can start building Houses. You must build evenly across the set.

Building Hotels:
Once you have 4 Houses on each street in a complete set, you can replace them with a Hotel.

No enough buildings?
If multiple players want the same building and there aren’t enough, the Banker must auction them.

⚖️ DEALS & TRADES

You can buy, sell or trade properties with other players at any time.
You must sell all buildings in a set to the Bank before trading any of its properties.

❗ HELP! I CAN’T PAY!

Try to raise money, or pay in assets by selling buildings back to the Bank and/or mortgaging properties.

Selling Buildings:
Sell Houses to the Bank for half cost price and exchange them immediately for Houses.

Mortgaging Property:
Turn the Title Deed card face down. You can’t collect rent on mortgaged properties.

If you’re still in debt, you are bankrupt and out of the game!
