Nanlite Forza 300B Overview
Adopting a popular, easy-to-use form factor, the Forza 300B Bi-Color LED Monolight from Nanlite
has a generous variable color temperature range of 2700 to 6500K to
blend seamlessly into any ambient light situation, match other fixtures,
or allow creative expression. The Forza 300B is dimmable too, without
color shift as the light's high CRI/TLCI ratings of 95/98 affirm. While
you can make adjustments to color and light intensity locally on the
fixture, you can also make them remotely from a console via DMX, or
wirelessly using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or with the included remote control.
There
are 12 special effects including CCT Loop, INT Loop, Flash, Pulse,
Storm, TV, Paparazzi, Candle/Fire, Bad Bulb, Fireworks, Explosion, and
Welding. The 300B is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 100 to 240V
power supply but you can also run it at full power for 49 minutes using
two V-mount batteries when AC power is unavailable.
Bright Output
With
the included reflector, the Forza 300B outputs an impressive 37,440 Lux
at 3.28'. When equipped with the optional FL-20G Fresnel, the light
output climbs to a staggering 140,000 Lux at 3.28'. Plus, with dimming
from 100% to 0%, you can quickly adapt the Forza 300B to any scene
without adding ND filters or diffusion.
Variable Bi-Color
The
Forza 300B employs a COB LED module with a variable color temperature
range from 2700 to 6500K, so you can quickly match natural ambient or
artificial lighting situations with a twist of the dial and eliminate
the need for gels.
Lightweight Compact Design
Created
to eliminate the difficulties of traveling with large light fixtures,
the Forza 300B weighs just 11 lb (5 lb for the head, 6 lb for the
controller and power supply) and is compact enough to be packed into
most gear cases.
High Color Accuracy
The
brightness of a light is important, but without color accuracy, you
will end up spending a ton of time and money in post-production. The
Forza 300B features a CRI of 96 and a TLCI of 98, meaning you can shoot
confidently knowing the color reproduction will be precise.
Endless Light-Shaping Possibilities
By
utilizing the near-universal Bowens style light modifier mount and
incorporating an umbrella holder into the yolk, the Forza 300B is
compatible with a massive selection of light modifiers, including, but
not limited to, Nanlite's line of Fresnels, softboxes, and umbrellas.
Practical Effects
With
12 pre-programmed special effects in a simple-to-master menu system,
the Forza 300B makes it easy to imitate lighting scenarios that can
otherwise be tricky to recreate. Effects include CCT Loop, INT Loop,
Flash, Pulse, Storm, TV, Paparazzi, Candle/Fire, Bad Bulb, Firework,
Explosion, and Welding.
Satellite Control and Power Station
To
keep a low center of gravity and the controls easily accessible, the
Forza 300B's control panel, AC adapter, and battery plate have been
combined into one satellite unit that can be conveniently hung from any
light stand. The satellite also serves as the DMX/RDM connection point
enabling the Forza 300 to be quickly adopted into any DMX controlled
environment.
Power Anywhere
Optimized
for use in the studio or on location, the Forza 300B can run off either
the included AC adapter or two 14.8V V-mount batteries (not included),
so you can operate in any location regardless of power availability.
Studio and Location Ready
Supplied
with a standard 5/8" receiver mount, the Forza 300B can be mounted
directly onto any standard light stand, and the 360° rotating yolk makes
it easy to adjust any angle or even hang the light from a ceiling for
studio use.
