Aluminum hawse fairlead is specifically designed for use with Synthetic ropes in order to allow the rope to run smoothly through the rounded edge on the front
This will prevent the synthetic rope from binding up in the standard cable style roller fairlead as you run the risk of fraying that expensive synthetic rope and causing unrepairable damage which could lead to it snapping while winching in your or somebody elses and causing a major safety issue
