- You simply attach it to the pot or fryer with the clip and see whether the fat has reached the ideal temperature of approx. 170-180°C. A far more accurate and safer method than dipping a wooden stick into the boiling oil and seeing if any bubbles rise. Thanks to the extended temperature range of 0-300° C, you can also use the thermometer for poaching,
- low-temperature cooking and up to approx. 160° C as a candy thermometer. Frying tip: Replace the oil after five processes at the latest, as it is then contaminated and can no longer be heated sufficiently.
