Geotextile – Non woven – 1 Roll

Geotextile is a flexible rolled material that can be used for fire protection. Similar to gypsum fiber boards the material absorbs enormous amounts of energy, when exposed to heat beyond it´s activation temperature. The effect is based on the evaporation of hydrated minerals. Geotextile is comprised of metal-anhydrates and absorbs up to 3x more energy than gypsum boards. Effective textile fire barriers (EI-qualification) – thinner and more flexible than conventional insulation – are achieved by combining glass fiber insulation or intumescent materials with layers of Geotextile.
