When the T04D1 maintenance box is full, a message will appear on your printer or computer screen stating that the ink pad is nearing the end of its lifespan. Ignoring this message or attempting to reset the chip without replacing the pad may cause ink to overflow inside the printer and damage the circuit board or the sensors on the lower end.

Additional tip: Since printers like the L14150 and M2140 are used for heavy-duty work, it's always a good idea to have a spare chip readily available in your desk drawer, as the printer will stop working completely once the chip reaches 0%.
