The first step: first confirm your own motherboard manufacturer, divided into for Intel and for AMD.

If it is for Intel, please check the number after the English letter. Any number greater than 99 (including 99) is fine, for example: for ASUS X99, 99 after x is fine.

If it is for AMD, make sure that the memory type of the motherboard must be DDR4. For example: for MSI 970A-G43, the memory type of this model is DDR3, which is not supported!

The second step is to confirm the pins of your motherboard, whether it is 12pin, 14pin or 20pin, etc.

Example: My motherboard model is for ASUS B450-M, is it appropriate?
