PS5 Compatibility

This bundle is intended for PlayStation 5 M.2 SSD storage expansion. The Lexar NQ780 is an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 NVMe drive, and the heatsink is used to help meet PS5 cooling requirements when installed correctly.

Heatsink Installation (Customer Assembly)

The SSD and heatsink are supplied separately and must be installed by the customer. To install: remove any protective films from the thermal pad (if included), align the heatsink with the SSD, apply the thermal pad to the SSD controller/label side as designed, then secure the heatsink according to the kit method (clips or screws). After that, follow Sony’s official PS5 M.2 installation steps to mount the SSD in the PS5 expansion slot.
