Lithium batteries have a high energy density but are chemically sensitive; without proper regulation, they can become unstable if overcharged or over-discharged, potentially leading to fires or explosions. These boards provide real-time monitoring of voltage and current, automatically disconnecting the battery from a charger or load if unsafe conditions are detected, thereby significantly extending the battery's lifespan and ensuring user safety.
