It also includes HDMI switches that support Full HD and 4K content, with setups of up to 8 outputs to share video across multiple screens.

An HDMI multi-viewer displays multiple sources at the same time on a single screen and may include PIP modes (picture-in-picture). It’s particularly useful for presentations, control rooms, or educational environments where you need to monitor or compare several streams without changing displays.

A splitter sends the same source to multiple displays, which is ideal for projecting the same content onto several monitors. A switch, on the other hand, switches between multiple sources to a single display—useful for demos or meetings where different devices need to be highlighted one after another.

Support varies by model. Some support Full HD and HDMI 1.4b compliance, while others handle 4K Ultra HD and higher data rates. For each option, check compatibility up to 4K, as well as whether there is remote control or a dedicated power port to ensure the best experience for your screens and sources.

For a small space, a compact solution with multiple ports and a remote is enough—such as a mini 5-port switch in 4K. For larger spaces or multi-source presentations, a matrix or a 4x2/4x4 system offers more flexibility and allows multiple sources and displays to be connected simultaneously.

Look for options that include easy-to-integrate power and remote control, so you can switch between sources quickly and use it smoothly for demonstrations or classes. Some models also provide audio outputs for synchronized sound with the screens, and they’re designed for everyday simplicity.
